2018 Wyland National Art Challenge

World-renowned environmental artist, conservationist and muralist Wyland is inviting classrooms across the United States to take part in the 5th Annual Wyland National Art Challenge, a nationwide environmental mural and individual art contest with the theme of conservation. Teachers are invited to create with their students a 4-foot by 8-foot (or larger) mural painting to celebrate how conservation shapes our lives and our world. The Wyland National Art Challenge focuses on creating works of art that highlight environmentalism and conservation. Teachers are invited to encourage their students to participate in three categories: classroom mural, individual art, and photography. The challenge is free to join and open to all students grades K-12.

- Classroom Mural: Work together as a class to create a 4-foot by 8-foot (or larger) mural.
- Individual Art: Celebrate conservation through any medium of your choice.
- Individual Photography: Capture a moment of nature.
Important Dates:
- October 1, 2018 - Challenge begins. Entries may be submitted here.
- December 1, 2018 - Digital photograph of classroom mural and individual art contest submissions due for judging. Individual photography submission for photo contest due for judging. Submit entries here. Please be sure to include teacher’s full name, school, grade level, title, number of students, mailing address, email, and phone number.
- December 20, 2018 - Winners will be notified on or before December 20, 2017 at the email address they provide upon submission.
